It might not have made news over there, but things in Asia here are breaking down because of the undersea cables cut by the recent earthquake in Taiwan. I can access Google-based sites fun (surprise surprise) but any purely North American site is painfully slow. Businesses are apparently hurting here because they just can't communicate.
So for all the wonders of technology, it shows how dependent we are on just a few links. Cut those, and everything comes crashing down. . . .
